On a very warm spring day, Sallie left her unopened can of soda in her car while she went to class. Upon returning from class, Sallie observed the can had burst and covered the entire interior of her car. Sallie has left unopened cans of soda in the car many times before, during the fall and winter seasons. Why didn't those cans of soda explode?
Answer: The particles in the can expanded due to high tempature causing the pressure to burst the can.
