OpenStudy (triciaal):

set up a ratio

OpenStudy (radar):

Ask yourself how far will she be in 2 hours, 2 hours at 40 mph would give you 80 miles. So in 2 hours, she has only 10 miles left to go. Now ask your self how long will it take to got 10 miles at 40 Mph?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

The trick here is to ignore the "8 p.m." info. That doesn't affect your answer. Secondly, I'd suggest you look carefully at the units of measurement involved here. You want time, the length of time required for this person to drive 90 miles at 40 mph. miles ----- = ? mph

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Obviously, your final unit of measurement must be "hours." Use this as a check of your work..
