OpenStudy (reid19):

solve each inequality for x

OpenStudy (reid19):

number 6

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Reid, please share what you have actually done. Without first seeing your work, I can't give you much, if any, meaningful feedback.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Look at the inequality ln x < 0 again. Please graph y=ln x, and see whether the graph tells you where y < 0.

satellite73 (satellite73):

i think you got confused with \(\ln(x)<0\) it is true that the log is only defined for \(x>0\) but that is not what it is asking it is asking for which \(x\) is the log negative (less than zero) rewrite in equivalent exponential form and you will have it in one step, since the log is an increasing function

OpenStudy (reid19):

so ln(x)<0 from (0,1)

OpenStudy (reid19):

what about the second part I got (2.079,infinity)

OpenStudy (danjs):

yeah, x > ln(8)
