ok, yeah just explain how you start with a function f(x), and how the definition is put together with algebra... like using the secant slope of two points to estimate the tangent slope better and better

or you just have to define what it is? Maybe just say you use algebra to find the expression for the slope of a tangent to a curve, at any value x. Then state the definition
