What percent of 225 is 45? Fan and medal if I can get a step by step explanation. @TheSmartOne @ILovePuppiesLol

OpenStudy (xxstudyingstuffxx):

Plz help

OpenStudy (gracygirl):

If you want to know what percent A is of B, you simple divide A by B, then take that number and move the decimal place two spaces to the right. That's your percentage!

OpenStudy (gracygirl):

So...

OpenStudy (gracygirl):

225 / 45 =...

OpenStudy (xxstudyingstuffxx):

Oh. Thanks! I didnt know that.

OpenStudy (gracygirl):

No problem :)

OpenStudy (xxstudyingstuffxx):

Sooo, 500%?

OpenStudy (gracygirl):

Doesn't seem right hold on

OpenStudy (xxstudyingstuffxx):

ok

OpenStudy (gracygirl):

So I messed that up my bad it's 45 / 225

OpenStudy (xxstudyingstuffxx):

Oh, ok.

OpenStudy (gracygirl):

Because doing 225/ 45 would be for finding the percentage that 225 is of 45 not 45 is of 225, sorry!

OpenStudy (xxstudyingstuffxx):

So 20%. That would make more sense, so is it right?

OpenStudy (gracygirl):

Sounds right, it should be. Does your question give you choices to choose from or do you have to write it in?

OpenStudy (xxstudyingstuffxx):

It gives me choices.

OpenStudy (gracygirl):

What are the choices?

OpenStudy (xxstudyingstuffxx):

OpenStudy (gracygirl):

That's the only answer that makes sense, obviously they had the 500% in there because they knew people would get it backwards. 2% is far to small as is .2% and 500% is too big.

OpenStudy (xxstudyingstuffxx):

Ok. Thx so much!

OpenStudy (gracygirl):

No problem!
