Two cars, A and B, move along the x-axis. (Figure 1) shows a graph of the positions of A and B versus time. Car A moves with constant acceleration. Graph velocity versus time for A. Plot values for velocity at t = 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 seconds.
this is the image that goes along with this problem. im not quite sure how to do this one because it is an exponential function
Hmmm I feel like there is a bit of info that is missing.
Since car A is moving with constant acceleration. Hence we can apply equation of motions here. \[x=ut+\frac{1}{2}at^2\]
From graph of car A let's put values of x & t at two different times in the equation for motion. at t=3 sec, car A is at x=12 m \(12=3u+\frac{1}{2}a(3)^2\).......(1) also at t=2 sec, car A is at x=8m \(8=2u+\frac{1}{2}a(2)^2\)..........(2)
use equations (1) & (2) to find initial velocity 'u' & acceleration 'a' of car A.
now u may apply the equation 'v=u+at' & plot the velocity versus time graph for car 'A'.
