OpenStudy (madisongoode):

Okay so, Based on the scenario, the equation would be : y = mx + b form is y = 1.5 x In which Y will go up the more slices that are bought. Another way to do it is, The equation is y = 1.5x. The linear equation can be used to solve represent the relationship between number of slices bought and the total cost: y = mx + b Let y be the cost of pizza with x being the number of slices bought. y = 1.5x So, 1 slice would cost $1.5, 2 slices = $3, 3 slices = $4.5 and so on.

OpenStudy (madisongoode):

Hope this helps!
