OpenStudy (cometailcane):

What would the concentration of the solution be after 2 days?

OpenStudy (cometailcane):

Time (min) Concentration (M) 0 0.0927 8 0.0825 19 0.0686 30. 0.0582 43 0.0480 54 0.0401 63 0.0353 75 0.0293 85 0.0251 95 0.0214

OpenStudy (cometailcane):

I've been trying to figure this out for days...

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

you could write a linear equation using the data. although im not sure thats the correct way to go about it.

OpenStudy (cometailcane):

I came up with y= -0.0472/55 x +0.0927 It worked when I had to find the concentration at 48 seconds but I keep getting the wrong answer for 2 days.

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

the only mistake in ur linear equation is that the slope u found is incorrect. m=-0.001275 so the correct linear relation is \[c=-0.001275 t+0.0927\]where c is the concentration (in M) & t is the time (in minutes). u r asked to find concentration after 2 days which means t=\(48\times60\)minutes

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

so put t=2880 min in the linear equation i made & u will get the correct answer.
