In your opinion do you perfer learning from a novel or learning from a textbook and why

I love learning from a novel, fictional history novels are the best. The different between learning from a novel, and learning from a text book is that at least for me, novels can keep my attention while textbooks I find hard to focus on. Novels give you an entertaining story around the history that you are learning, while textbooks usually just lay out the facts.
