Will medal and fan! Please somebody! What are the coordinates of the point (2, −3) after a counterclockwise rotation of 90° about the origin?

OpenStudy (brooklyncdy):

Is it (-3,2) ?

OpenStudy (brooklyncdy):

(−3, 2) (−2, 3) (−3, −2) (3, 2) Those are the options

@Will.H

OpenStudy (will.h):

Countercloskwise 90 degree rotation: (x,y) --> (-y,x) so if you have (2,-3) it would be (3,2)

OpenStudy (brooklyncdy):

Oh so not -3 just 3

OpenStudy (will.h):

yes because in the rule it is -y and since the value is negative so it would turn positive

OpenStudy (brooklyncdy):

Ok, i get it now

OpenStudy (brooklyncdy):

Thank you!

OpenStudy (will.h):

Happy to help :)
