CHECK What is the slope of the line that passes through the pair of points (3 2) and (5 12) A 5 B-5 C-1/5 <---My answer. D1/5

OpenStudy (meowimacat):

OpenStudy (jonathan34):

OpenStudy (jonathan34):

why the - ??????

OpenStudy (jonathan34):

if its not -

OpenStudy (thekidwithnoanswers):

so its 1/5? not a negative

OpenStudy (meowimacat):

\[(12-2)/(5-3)\]

OpenStudy (meowimacat):

bladoop... that is the formula i believe... Is that what you had?

OpenStudy (thekidwithnoanswers):

wait what im sorry i got lost a train of thought.

OpenStudy (meowimacat):

Rahh, that's okay. To find the slope of this line, between points (3,2) and (5,12), that would be the formula.. (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

OpenStudy (jonathan34):

it is not negtive

OpenStudy (meowimacat):

Nd when you do zee maths, it simplfies to 10/2 Nd then divide.. Nd you get 5!

OpenStudy (meowimacat):

How did you get yer answer?

OpenStudy (thekidwithnoanswers):

i have no idea. I um well guessed :(

OpenStudy (meowimacat):

Silly, don't guess. The answer would be 5, positive 5. The slope formula is pretty easy, nd if you want me to further explain I can c:

OpenStudy (thekidwithnoanswers):

no thank but hey i appreciate all the help. thank you.

OpenStudy (meowimacat):

you're whalecom ^^
