Susan will rotate triangle ABC 180° about one of the labeled points. Susan says, "The image will not touch the pre-image at all." Which points could be her center of rotation? Select each correct answer. Point A Point B Point C Point D Point E Point F https://us-static.z-dn.net/files/d32/5e43757a7c9a52cb14cae0cb67de607f.jpg
I would have to say "Point E" and "Point F "
let me look to see if I can find any other
No, the other points make it where the image is still touching its previous location. D would just flip the triangle, A, B, and C would keep there point while the rest of the triangle moved. :P Hope I Helped
Thank You:) It Was Hard For Me To Answer This Because I wasn't Able To Learn It:(
|dw:1473431790216:dw| you can find the answer by drawing all the reflections about 180 degrees. I have done the case for rotation about E. Draw a line joining AE and extend EA' such that mEA'=mEA. Similarly for B and C. You will find the image A'B'C' and hence find out if E is a candidate for the answer. Also note that rotation about any point ON or INSIDE the original triangle will always result in an image that touches the preimage.
