The position of a particle moving along the x axis is given in centimeters by x = 5.00 + 2.50t 3, where t is in seconds. Consider the time interval t = 2.00 s to t = 3.00 s. (e) Calculate the instantaneous velocity when the particle is midway between its positions at t = 2.00 s and t = 3.00 s.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

(e) Calculate the instantaneous velocity when the particle is midway between its positions at t = 2.00 s and t = 3.00 s. First find the positions at 2s and 3s, so you can find halfway between them, and then find what time value that occurs at. Then find the derivative of x = 5.00 + 2.50t^3 and plug in that time value.
