OpenStudy (princeriveraa):

What is the direction of the centripetal force acting on a satellite that is in uniform circular motion around Earth?

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

Centripetal force is the force responsible for circular motion and it always acts towards the centre of the circle in which it is moving. In case of earth's satellite the centre is earth (more specifically the earth centre) so centripetal force acting on satellite will act towards the earth centre.
