OpenStudy (campayne):

Which equation represents a nonlinear function? x(y – 5) = 2 y – 2(x + 9) = 0 3y + 6(2 – x) = 5 2(y + x) = 0

OpenStudy (karim728):

try the first one

OpenStudy (campayne):

well ive no idea how so...

OpenStudy (will.h):

I have a better suggestion

OpenStudy (karim728):

linear function is y= mx+b.. you cant write the first equation in that form

OpenStudy (campayne):

how so?

OpenStudy (karim728):

try solving for y and see for yourself

OpenStudy (will.h):

Open up a website called GeoGebra and plug in all the options you have. And the option that has a shape of a curve line of anything other than a straight line would be nonlinear

OpenStudy (raffle_snaffle):

^That or you can remember that having a power of 2 or greater is non linear.

OpenStudy (will.h):

Agreed raffle

OpenStudy (will.h):

Use this Desmos.com Or GeoGebra.com

OpenStudy (campayne):

Will you are my hero i mean i give props to everyone else who helped but will you sure did it!

OpenStudy (will.h):

Happy to help haha Thanks.
