how did geography influence the american indians' way of life?

If you think about this, you can probably come up with some good answers.
Indians in the Pacific Northwest got most of their food from fishing. Why? Lots of places to fish. Eastern woodland tribes had homes made of wood. Plains Indians made homes of animal skins and relatively little wood. Why would they do that? Many tribes spent winter in one area and summer in another what is the geography probably like in those two places.
