86-32. Then divide the sum by 1.8
86-32 = 54. 54/1.8 = 30

Yes. If you are converting Fahrenheit to Celsius you do that.
Yes, I'd also agree that you'd benefit by doing a Google search for "fahrenheit to celcius conversion." There are linear formulas for this conversion (as well as for "celcius to fahrenheit" conversion).
