Can I take piercing out sooner?I got my earlobe pierced on the 28th and the piercer at icing said to wait 6 weeks before taking them out.? 6 weeks would be October 8 and October 1st is homecoming. I've heard wait 4-6 weeks before removing them and 6-8 so im not sure what is safe. I wouldn't be wearing any long or heavy earrings just a stud earring that is sterling silver. My ear hasn't shown signs of infection and doesn't bother me at all and its only been a couple weeks so I imagine it would be fine by then. Also I only got one ear re-pierced because my piercing was uneven on that ear so

i would only have to worry about one ear.

I would say to just take it out I have a piercing and I took it out a week after and nothing happen everything was okay and I still put it on and take it off. Don't worry too much nothing would happen it would just itch the first day but that's all. :)

I took my out early and i had to shove my earrings in hard and practically re pierce the skin. If you take them out I would suggest put other ones in within an hour. I would wait til homecoming.

Yeah, I wouldnt take them out untill a couple hours before homecoming and i'd put another in right away that is still stainless steel. @BoomerSB44

@RichHomieHelp My question doesn't violate the rules and is appropriate and it's in the health section where it should be. There could easily be a homework assignment on infections and ear piercings in health and someone could post a question and It'd be fine with everyone. The only difference is i'm experiencing this first hand and my health depends on the answers I get, not my grade. I'm not going to close the question because I'd like to get opinions from different people so I can decide what to do. Thank you for your concern.
