x+y=7

OpenStudy (gracygirl):

You're supposed to find....x and y?

OpenStudy (blayne--moore):

yes

OpenStudy (blayne--moore):

actually it just says find another solution of the equation

OpenStudy (alones.):

There are an infinite number of solutions, these could be displayed graphically on the line x+y=7 which crosses the y intercept at 7 and has a gradient of -1 (it crosses the x intercept at 7 also.

OpenStudy (jango_in_dtown):

let x=c then c+y=7 implies y=7-c . so if x is c, then y is 7-c. Put arbitrary values of c to get infinitely many solutions / for example put c=0 and you get x=0, y=7

Elsa213 (elsa213):

MEDAL FOR ALONES o;

OpenStudy (alones.):

:)

Elsa213 (elsa213):

I don't know math so if she's wrong, i'm sorry.
