i need help. I got some of the work done, this is what i have-
Wendy played her favorite video game for 8 hours last week. Today, Wendy's parents restricted her to 6 additional hours each week for the next 9 weeks. Create the function, f(x), that models Wendy's total video game time, and explain what each number in the situation represents graphically, using complete sentences.

my work:
8 hours last week + 6 additional hours each week for the next 9 weeks.
f(x)=6x+8

So I'm thinking it would be y=8x+6. She started out 8 hours a week then her parents increased it to 6 additional hours.

No, it's asking for a function. y= and f(x) are the same thing. So y=8x+6 and f(x)=8x+6 are the same. For the answer you would put

f(x) = 8x+6.
8x means...
6 means...

Just write 2 complete sentences for what 8x means and what 6 means. Hopefully my answer before this will allow you to come up with the sentences :)
