OpenStudy (amy2012):

Can someone please explain how to do this function? See attached

Yes

OpenStudy (3mar):

The domain is the values that I can substitute with it freely without making the Rational function is undefined (its denominator equal to zero) Therefore we can substitute with all real number except that make x^2-3x-10 equal to zero \[x^2-3x-10=0\] \[(x-5)(x+2)=0\] \[x=5 and x=-2\] So the domain will be Real numbers-{5,-2}

Thank for the medal! Any time, I will not be late for you
