OpenStudy (imnotarobot5):

Use the graph of f(x) below to estimate the value of f ′(3):

OpenStudy (imnotarobot5):

I've tried to solve it, Im pretty sure f(x) = -x^2 +9 and if that's true then the derivative should be -2x right? and when you insert it it should be -6x? But that's not an option

OpenStudy (triciaal):

are you finding what x value gave a y value of 3?

OpenStudy (imnotarobot5):

Im pretty sure it's asking when x=3 what does y equal

OpenStudy (triciaal):

when x = 3 y = 0 given y = f(x) asking here f ' (3)
