OpenStudy (ubie01):

@desmarie

OpenStudy (retireed):

Do you know the formula for calculating the standard deviation?

OpenStudy (ubie01):

Yes

OpenStudy (ubie01):

Everytime I calculate it though it says the standard of it is 7.41499

OpenStudy (retireed):

Good. The first thing you have to know if the average of all of the numbers. Calculate the average.

OpenStudy (ubie01):

38.125????

OpenStudy (retireed):

That is the average, not the standard deviation. We need this to get the std dev. Did you just use a calculator to get the std dev?

OpenStudy (ubie01):

Yes I used a online calculator provided by a teacher...

OpenStudy (retireed):

I will show you how to calculated it by hand. Yes it is tedious, but you will understand it better. |dw:1473889738758:dw|
