OpenStudy (mikenin23):

What is the common ratio for the sequence 1024, 512, 256, 128,.... (1 point) What is the 10th term of the above sequence? (2 points: 1 for work shown using the geometric sequence formula, 1 for correct answer)

OpenStudy (welshfella):

to find the common ratio divide any term by the previous one :- for example 128/256 = ?

OpenStudy (kevin):

You need to find its ratio using method as Welshfella said. Then, you can plug it to formula : un=arn−1 with a is the first term on its sequence and n = 10. Finally, you will get the 10th term.
