Can someone help me with paragraph proofs?

I need to prove that angle 4 is equal to angle 8.

I shall attach the image.

I've already listed the given proof, but i'm not sure what theorems or postulates or whatever to use to prove it o.o

I'm not sure what contitutes 'proof' in your case.

These angles are 'corresponding angles' and it is a 'property' (but not a proof) of parallel lines that corresponding angles ARE equal

At some stage you need to fall back on an 'assertion' rather than a proof
e.g. internal angles add to 180, angles on a straight line add to 180

Not sure how to PROOVE these things - they just 'are'

Oh! That's perfect. That's what i needed. I really just needed to remember the name of the thingy (Corresponding Angles Postulate) and I'm fairly sure that will work in a paragraph proof.

Well I mean, I'm required to 'prove' that the angles are equal, but I understand what you mean. Regardless, I think I know what to do now.
