A societal issue that scientists will be able to address using the sequence of the human genome is curing biological disadvantages and diseases. People could replace or create a different genetic maker that makes a person less likely to get cancer. People could be able to choses the hair color, eye color, maybe even the shape of a baby’s nose before it is born.
Yeah, that works. I don't think we will get any closer to choosing what we want our kid to look like anytime soon though. Theoretically, its great.
You could do cloning or something like that, because we have studied that and worked on research.
@Arcadiouse @Cas_fangirl_14 There is also CRISPR Gene editing tech that is being developed. Which pretty much allows for everything you are describing to happen.
