Question for fun for Advanced people in Math
Find the area of the following triangle that is meant to be in real world
Fan Medal testimonial to whoever gets it right
@AloneS give it a try ;)
i'll post the right answer tmrw same time
Srlsy x'D
lol yeah that's what boredom does. sides effects lol
@mathmale @phi @mathmate
Is the 10 on AC for the whole line or just for the bottom triangle?
clearly for the whole triangle
Just making sure!
we want to find the area of triangle ABC the measure of the base AC = 10 and the altitude =6
But just know that it is supposed to be a real world triangle
\[\text{area}=\frac{1}{2}(\text{base})(\text{height})\]where height = altitude
okay continue
|dw:1473959931006:dw| This is as far as I got, not sure if its right, I'm terrible with triangles. But if it is right, the total area would be 30.
That's wrong. it isn't 30
Lol, I told you I'm terrible with triangles. I can't wait to see what the actual answer is.
lol your good i liked your diagram... the answer is totally unexpected
The problem cannot be solved as stated. Either one of the measurements is incorrect, since the roots to the quadratic are complex. |dw:1473965668919:dw|

Uh Almost Correct Wow good job it is indeed can't be solved but what is the real reason behind that? what the measurements aren't accurate?
