1.Which of the following events happened last? A.The Stamp Act B.The Intolerable Acts C.The establishment of the First British colony in the New World D.The Writs of Assistance

OpenStudy (maddielb):

OpenStudy (jazzminejones):

I have no idea, they didnt mention it in my American Government book

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

Well, if you guys can't figure it out, tag me :P

OpenStudy (ashton_bishop):

itd d

OpenStudy (jazzminejones):

Thank you <3

OpenStudy (ashton_bishop):

np

OpenStudy (maddielb):

You sure?

OpenStudy (maddielb):

D was 1760 wasnt it?

OpenStudy (maddielb):

@brainzonly fine you can help, but I think its The Intolerable Acts

OpenStudy (ashton_bishop):

its b my bad

OpenStudy (ashton_bishop):

sorry homie

OpenStudy (jazzminejones):

>.<lol ok, I'll search it later to make sure. My class is about to start.

OpenStudy (maddielb):

Yeah cause that was in 1774 and b was in 1760

OpenStudy (ashton_bishop):

you right lol

OpenStudy (ashton_bishop):

its b for sure

OpenStudy (maddielb):

:)

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

Thank you for permission. It is NOT the intolerable acts.

OpenStudy (ashton_bishop):

its not?

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

#1: The founding of the first colony.

OpenStudy (ashton_bishop):

umm that was first not last

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

#2: The Intolerable Acts, of which the Stamp Act was one. So, #4: The Writs of Assistance is correct.

OpenStudy (ashton_bishop):

its b homie two to one

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

A writ of assistance is a written order (a writ) issued by a court instructing a law enforcement official, such as a sheriff or a tax collector, to perform a certain task. The British needed Writs of Assistance to enforce the Intolerable Acts.

OpenStudy (ashton_bishop):

if you say so

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

So D is correct. The Writs of assistance could never have happened without the Intolerable Acts, and the Intolerable Acts would have never happened without the founding of the first colony. Use your brain! It's not that hard :)

OpenStudy (maddielb):

Wait

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

.........

OpenStudy (maddielb):

What if the what if The Writs of Assistance were before the Intolerance Acts but the Intolerance Acts needed to be enforced by The Writs of Assistance

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

*brain explosion* WHAT!!

OpenStudy (ashton_bishop):

guess what guys

OpenStudy (ashton_bishop):

she already closed the question but were all still here

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

Ok, fine. It's the Intolerable Acts. It's not my fault if Jazz gets it wrong, ok?

OpenStudy (maddielb):

WRITS OF ASSISTANCE were general search warrants issued to the customs officers by the colonial superior courts. They were first issued in Massachusetts in 1751

OpenStudy (jazzminejones):

I have another

OpenStudy (ashton_bishop):

oh shes back

OpenStudy (jazzminejones):

Lol

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

Ummm....DUH They had to have something to enforce!

OpenStudy (jazzminejones):

How do u share a photo ?

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

Attach file

OpenStudy (ashton_bishop):

idek homie

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

It's under the comment box. it's a blue button.

OpenStudy (maddielb):

But if they were FIRST issued in 1751 then thats before the Intolerance Acts o.O

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

The Intolerable Acts were the American Patriots' term for a series of punitive laws passed by the British Parliament in 1774 after the Boston Tea party. They were meant to punish the Massachusetts colonists for their defiance in throwing a large tea shipment into Boston harbor. O.O you're right. but what were they enforcing???

OpenStudy (ashton_bishop):

reall yall still on that

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

I was listening to common sense LOL

OpenStudy (maddielb):

Ashton shhh, we are arguing our sides lol

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

XD

OpenStudy (ashton_bishop):

okay lol good luck

OpenStudy (maddielb):

So I guess I would be the one who is correct in this situation or?

OpenStudy (jazzminejones):

Im just gonna type it

OpenStudy (maddielb):

Intolerance acts 1774, Wrist of Assistance 1751

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

This is Aston: :D xd

OpenStudy (ashton_bishop):

OpenStudy (maddielb):

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

Anyway...

OpenStudy (ashton_bishop):

i dont get it

OpenStudy (ashton_bishop):

oh you mean aston martin the cars

OpenStudy (maddielb):

So after all of this the correct answer for question 1 is B right?

OpenStudy (jazzminejones):

OpenStudy (ashton_bishop):

yeah

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

:D I had a 1965 one once. it was a good car. ANYWAY.... I'm currently looking at my history book, which probably discusses every known thing about history ever, considering it's no less that 11 and 1/2 inches thick.. and it does say B is correct.

OpenStudy (jazzminejones):

I just remembered I had Sniping tool

OpenStudy (maddielb):

I DID IT GUYS

OpenStudy (ashton_bishop):

see i told you lol

OpenStudy (maddielb):

*Sniff* I'd like to thank my mom and dad, and legs for always supporting me

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

everybody give mad a trophy for that. that was funny.

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

Jazz, the new q... answer D. Don't trust me tho LOL

OpenStudy (jazzminejones):

lol, ok

OpenStudy (ashton_bishop):

did you even ask it lol

OpenStudy (jazzminejones):

Yeah, I sent a photo

OpenStudy (jazzminejones):

It has two questions on it.

OpenStudy (ashton_bishop):

oh lol i didnt see it

OpenStudy (jazzminejones):

I'll resend it

OpenStudy (jazzminejones):

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

You dont know what popular sovereignty is??? O.O its 3. the next one is #4

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

answer D for #4

OpenStudy (jazzminejones):

I think I know what # 3 is. Sovereignty is supreme and absolute power within its own territory and has the ability to decide its own foreign and domestic policies.

OpenStudy (jazzminejones):

Thank you for your help

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

no problem
