I think B would make the most sense. But I will tell you the history about the whole story. Emperor Constantine was a big pagan along with the majority of Rome at the time. During his reign major riots flourished throughout the entire city; pagans killing Christians and vice versa. The reason why he signed the decree making Christianity legal in Rome because he wanted to stop the prosecution of Christians, and plus when he was in battle he saw the cross in the sky which led to paint the red crosses on his shield and armor in battle. Some say that he chose the Christian religion because it was easier to control people.
