Number lines...

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

how did you do that

OpenStudy (wckeller):

Look at the lowest number value that is shaded. What is its value?

OpenStudy (wckeller):

Okay, so now we know that x has to be greater than or equal to 6 \[x \ge 6\] Nex look at the highest value that is shaded. What is its value?

OpenStudy (wckeller):

Now we know that x has to be less than or equal to 5. Because the number line is only shaded within that small region, and not outside of it, our answer will have an "and" in it.

OpenStudy (wckeller):

Correct

OpenStudy (wckeller):

remember: \[x\le5 \] \[x \ge-6\]

OpenStudy (wckeller):

Which answer with an "and" has both of those?

OpenStudy (wckeller):

Correct!!

OpenStudy (wckeller):

No problem.
