in which of the following equations is the distributive property correctly applied to the equation; 5(g - 18) = 130? A) 5g -90 = 130 B) g -90 =130 C) 5g -90 = 650 D) 5 -18 = 130g @563blackghost ?

563blackghost (563blackghost):

When distributing you would distribute it into the paranthesis only meaning you would multiply each variable or number with the number on the outside.... \(\huge{5(g-18) \rightarrow (( 5 \times g) - (18 \times 5))}\)

OpenStudy (13mysterious):

How do I find out what 'g' is?

563blackghost (563blackghost):

\(\large{g}\) stays as a variable....variable meaning that it can be any real number but we dont know what that is so it stays as `g`...

Oh okay. Sorry, I'm not good at math..
