Mathematics 6 Online
OpenStudy (lili03):

K=2x-3 M=x+7, L is the midpoint of KM. Find the value of x.

OpenStudy (triciaal):

the midpoint is 1/2 way between the 2 end points

OpenStudy (lili03):

I know that but I'm confused because the only time I've solved for a midpoint was in coordinates, how would I solve for it with the two end points?

OpenStudy (danjs):

Did you type everyting right... K=? Should that be KM or KL , same for M

OpenStudy (lili03):

Sorry, you're right. KL 2x-3 and LM x+7

OpenStudy (danjs):

L is the midpoint, halfway distance on the line KM, so KL and LM are equal lengths |dw:1473995797261:dw|
