OpenStudy (nortexplay):

OpenStudy (nortexplay):

i think

OpenStudy (nortexplay):

nvm thanks

OpenStudy (rhystic):

? were you confused by the cube? squared which is usually denoted as x^2 x*x cube is denoted as x^3 or x*x*x sometimes they say x raised to the 3rd power etc.

OpenStudy (nortexplay):

yes i was lol

OpenStudy (rhystic):

does it make sense now?

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

The volume of a cube is $$\huge x^3$$

OpenStudy (rhystic):

I think you misread the question skull patrol?

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Just like the area of a square is $$\huge x^2$$

OpenStudy (rhystic):

oh nvm

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

That's why they say "cubed" or "squared".

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

You will also hear 8 to the second power or the second power of 8. The power of a number is the product when a number is multiplied by itself a given number of times: $$\huge 4∙4∙4$$ $$\huge\text{or}$$ $$\huge 4^3$$ is the third power of 4.
