I need help with this math question. Thanks. https://us-static.z-dn.net/files/d09/4ea0d90a0e11c91962b72147289b4ff2.png

OpenStudy (raffle_snaffle):

Part a is pretty obvious right? A', B', and C' all increase in size, right?

OpenStudy (wckeller):

The first part of the question is correct, it is an expansion. But the second part is a number smaller than 1 which would make this a contraction. Look at the point (1,5) and the prime version of it. (1.5, 7.5) Take the X value of the prime version and divide it by the original X value. It has increased by a factor of 1.5 Another way to state 1.5 is 3/2 Therefore, the scale factor is 3/2.

OpenStudy (gokuporter):

Okay thanks

OpenStudy (wckeller):

No problem.
