Question

It's kinda funny how you really believe in the things you write at the moment you write them, and then you take a step back and wonder if it really makes any sense.

DREAM AWAY THE DARKNESS

Yesterday my face brushed
the whiskers of grass
from the ground below
As I attempted an afternoon nap
though failed by city noises
hum and bustle
And thought strongly as the scents
of peace stole through
how the world is much
And that a state is non existent
if imagined, then reality
is only a trivial touch.
Also a commander in chief is unneeded
as is the shape of our country
for land is free
Free to dream and lay under
skies so whispy and blue
in an eternal temporary.
Lasting, lasting, this sacred delusion
as a tiny ladybug
kisses my nimble hands
How mellow the world can be
when thought of without darkness
in demands.

I was attempting to set this based upon the mood I had at the moment yesterday afternoon when I was actually laying in the grass of my backyard and although sleeping was futile because of the crickets and airplanes, I still found a sudden peace. Then I randomly thought that if I took away the fact that I am in a state called Michigan, and a country called the USA, and as long as guns and politics weren't near me at the moment, then in reality I was in none of those things. I was in my own world where I dreamed and pushed away the boundaries attempting to hold me down. (in an external sense of life)

I promise, I won't kill you if you don't understand this. I legit am terrible at explaining things. Put a few thoughts down anyways and let me know what you think :)
