Geometry 9 Online
OpenStudy (jolquinnzley):

Please help quickly! I'm horrible at this part of geometry In the figure below, segment CD is parallel to segment EF and point H bisects segment DE: The figure shows a polygon comprised of four triangles, AIC, DIH, HEG, and FGB. Prove ΔDIH ≅ ΔEGH (Attachment below!)

OpenStudy (jolquinnzley):

@jhonyy9 could you help on this?

OpenStudy (jolquinnzley):

I saw you were looking at the other question and thought you might be able to help? Sorry if its random

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

ok like a first think than you check this figure posted you see that the opposite angles of H are congruent yes ?

OpenStudy (jolquinnzley):

Mhm?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

given that CD parallel EF so from this result that two parallels intersected by a line create congruent angles so angle D congruent angle E

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

given again that H bisect segment DE so from this result that DH congruent HE so from ASA similarity theorem result triangle DIH similar triangle HGE hope helped

OpenStudy (jolquinnzley):

Yes absolutely! Thank you very much sir!

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

np anytime was my pleasure good luck bye bye

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

hope you understand it easy sure yes ?

OpenStudy (jolquinnzley):
