The ratio of men to women working for a company is 4 to 7. If there are 176 employees total, how many men work for the company?

4 : 7 176-W : W again cross multiply and solve for W. this will be the number of women. subtract that from the total number of employees to get the number of male workers.
we know that there are 4 men and 7 women in every 11 worker in 176/11 = 16 16*4 = 64 men workers
