Simplify the problem: 5(4-13) Can someone please explain this to me? I don't really get it.

5(4-13) 1st you will have to multiply 5 by 4 and then multiply 5 by -13 5*4 = 20 5* -13 = -65 now simplify 20 - 65 = -45
