(MC)Which of the following was a consequence of the United States’ victory in the Spanish-American War?

Awolflover1 (awolflover1):

Options?

OpenStudy (tstrohl15):

what are the options

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

The Spanish-American War got Spain out of Cuba so Americans could dominate the sugar industry there. We got to play imperialist for a few years. Our empire included the Philippines, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii. We took Hawaii just before the Span-Am. It was an ugly thing. Sort of a precursor to Span-Am. So getting more territories. Trying to act like a European empire. Going completely against principle by trying to put down Philippine independence. Any of those answers should be what you are looking for.
