I need help on a question. The question is "Mrs. Boyd has a desk full of quarters and nickels. If she has a total of 23 coins with a total face value of $3.75 how many of the coins are nickels?" I just need help on how to solve this problem. Anyone that has a different method is welcome to help out. :)

OpenStudy (missmeow):

13 quarters and 10 nickels. 13 quarters equal $3.25. 10 nickels equal 50 cents. 23 coins, make up $3.75. I hope this helps :)

OpenStudy (annierin):

It does. Thank you :)
