OpenStudy (natasha18):

3x/7 - 2=15 I got 119/3 and it says I got it partially right.. The final answer does have a fraction in it.

rishavraj (rishavraj):

is it \[\frac{ 3x }{ 7 } - 2 =15\] ???

OpenStudy (natasha18):

yeah

rishavraj (rishavraj):

if its that then the first thing u need to do is add 2 on both sides...

OpenStudy (natasha18):

I know how to solve it.. I just don't know why they considered my answer only partially correct

zepdrix (zepdrix):

119/3 is correct :) If you only got partial credit, then perhaps they want the final answer written as a `mixed number`.

rishavraj (rishavraj):

see u need to write 119/3 as \[39\frac{ 1 }{ 3 }\]

OpenStudy (natasha18):

ooh ok thanks!
