can someone help me o this question

OpenStudy (zaxoanl):

find an equation of the line tangent to the curve at the point corresponding to the given value of t x=cost + tsint y=sint - tcost t=pi/4

OpenStudy (enricoanders):

Can someone help me please

OpenStudy (danjs):

Want to get the line \[\large y-y _{1}=\frac{ dy }{ dx }*(x-x _{1})\] You can plug in t=pi/4 into the parametric equations and get the point (x1,y1) first

OpenStudy (danjs):

\[x _{1}=\cos(\frac{ \pi }{ 4 })+\frac{ \pi }{ 4 }*\sin(\frac{ \pi }{ 4 }) = \frac{ \sqrt{2} }{ 2 }+\frac{ \pi*\sqrt{2} }{ 8 }\approx1.26\]

OpenStudy (danjs):

same for y when t= pi/4 \[y _{1}\approx 0.15\] You got that part?
