i would say urban civilizations were less dependent on woman since they did not have to depend on women to provide food... but i don't know how to word it so my teacher likes it

Urban civilizations restricted women to more domestic labor. Women biologically tend to be nest builders and family nurturers. Gathering had been necessary before. Then work on the farm. But there was less and less reason for them to leave home with urbanization.
