WILL MEDAL AND FAN here is my prompt for a Silas Marner lit response We know why Silas left Lantern Yard when he was younger, but we're left to assume much between the time he left and the current setting of our story. Why, in your opinion, do we find Silas, who isn't even 40 years old, all bent over and old looking? Why is he a lonely miser who only weaves and hoards? Why? (Although this is an opinion essay, please write it as if your opinion is fact, and keep it in third person.)
