Help me please

OpenStudy (itsmeyourfrennn):

What set of transformations is performed on ABCD to form A′B′C′D′? A translation 1 unit to the left followed by a 180-degree counterclockwise rotation about the origin A translation 1 unit to the right followed by a 180-degree counterclockwise rotation about the origin A 90-degree counterclockwise rotation about the origin followed by a translation 1 unit to the right A 90-degree counterclockwise rotation about the origin followed by a translation 1 unit to the left

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Well we see that the pre-image of the trapezoid is two units from y = 0 while as the image is 1 unit from y = 0 that would mean that the trapezoid first translated 1 unit to the left...

OpenStudy (itsmeyourfrennn):

So would it be a b c or d?

563blackghost (563blackghost):

One second. Now we know that it translated the the left by unit 1st...Now if it did perform a 180 degree counterclockwise rotation about the origin that would mean that the coordinates would change... \(\huge{(x,y) \rightarrow (-x,-y)}\) We see that our coordinates are infact with negative x and y values that would mean that it did in fact complete a 180 degree clockwise turn after a translation of 1 unit to the left...

OpenStudy (itsmeyourfrennn):

thank you so much:)

563blackghost (563blackghost):

your welcome :)
