NvidiaIntely (nvidiaintely):

Which of the following is NOT a method used to physically separate components in a mixture? chromatography sublimation distillation precipitation

NvidiaIntely (nvidiaintely):

I think its option A.

NvidiaIntely (nvidiaintely):

@Nnesha @wwhitlock @whpalmer4

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

I answered this already ! >_>

NvidiaIntely (nvidiaintely):

Yeah, just want you to tell if I am correct. @Nnesha, am I correct?

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

It's not A

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

We gave you a whole list of definitions for this stuff...

NvidiaIntely (nvidiaintely):

Oh oh, its must be B then?

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

It is B. Sublimation is not a filtration method. It's a matter state change

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

filtration/separation of components method*

Nnesha (nnesha):

i guess the last question was same like this so first of all you need to know the definitions of all these words. what do you think its A ??

Nnesha (nnesha):

why**

Nnesha (nnesha):

http://www.ccri.edu/chemistry/courses/chem_1030/Physical_Separation.pdf read this if this doesn't make sense then google each word maybe you can find definition in easy words

NvidiaIntely (nvidiaintely):

I thought it was A, because I was not paying attention Nnesha. I got confused with A and B. Now I think its B because B is sublimation, sublimation = transition of the substance directly from a solid to the gas phase without passing through the intermediate liquid phase.

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

Chromatography: separation of components using filter paper held upright in solution. Lighter components migrate farther UP the filter paper Sublimation: the transition from solid to gas directly with no liquid phase. Distillation: the action of purifying a liquid by a process of heating and cooling. Precipitation: the formation of a solid in solution via chemical reactions

NvidiaIntely (nvidiaintely):

Thanks @Nnesha!

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

So yes, B. Because it's the only one that's not a filtration.

NvidiaIntely (nvidiaintely):

Thx @kittiwitti1. Got ya.

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

I need to help with math now, @NvidiaIntely Sorry. I can't help you anymore

NvidiaIntely (nvidiaintely):

Okay cya!

Nnesha (nnesha):

okay next time post the statement why you think ur answer is A,B,C or D so it would be easy :=))

NvidiaIntely (nvidiaintely):

Okay thanks!

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

This smells like science. I've been around science before. It smells kinda like this.
