EASY HELP ME FOR MEDAL AND FAN ;____________________;

KjSaif (kjsaif):

Susan makes 5 fruit cups for the picnic. In each cup, she has 5 strawberries and 3 kiwi. Joanna uses the same number of total fruits to make her strawberry and kiwi fruit cups, but she makes 4 cups. In each cup, she uses 8 strawberries. How many kiwis are in each fruit cup Joanna makes?

Why don't you try posting in mathematics?

OpenStudy (21aliosb):

well, since Susan has 40 pieces of fruit total and joanna wants to have the same amount of fruit there would be no kiwis in her cups. But, Susan used 5 cups and Joanna used 4. So the way to solve this is 5x5=25 and 3x5=15 so, 5+15+40. So do the same for Joanna. 4x8=32 and since she wants the same amount of fruit total she would do... 40-32=8 and 8 divided by 4=2 so therefore 2 kiwis are in each cup.
