why did the framers of the U.S constitution include a legislative branch in the new government? A: to establish their ideal form of government B: to represent all of the people living in the country C: to give themselves jobs in the new government D: to help develop a monarchy

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

The legislative branch makes the laws. We don't have a monarch, we have an executive (president). His job is to carry out the laws. The people have the power, according to the Constitution. We don't have time to be worrying about laws and such all the time. So we elect people to represent us and make the laws.
