OpenStudy (lowkey.s):

Which of the following numbers can be expressed as non terminating decimals? 8/9, 3/5, 1/6, 7/2

OpenStudy (lowkey.s):

I would appreciate if you helped? @jigglypuff314

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

have you tried converting each option into a decimal form? :)

OpenStudy (lowkey.s):

I really don't get whats non ternimating means.

OpenStudy (lowkey.s):

No

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

never ends goes on forever

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

for example 0.8888888888888888888888888888888888... going on forever, is "non terminating"

OpenStudy (lowkey.s):

Oh okay.

OpenStudy (lowkey.s):

if its terminating that means it "wont go on forever"

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

terminating is from the word terminate. terminate means "to end"

OpenStudy (lowkey.s):

oh

OpenStudy (lowkey.s):

I get it.

OpenStudy (lowkey.s):

So 8/9 isn't a non ternimating

OpenStudy (lowkey.s):

*is

OpenStudy (lowkey.s):

3/5 isn't

OpenStudy (lowkey.s):

I put everythin in decimal and its turn out that 8/9 and 3/5 is non terminating

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

3/5 = 0.6 8/9 = 0.888888888888888888888888888888888888

OpenStudy (lowkey.s):

Wait sorry i meant

OpenStudy (lowkey.s):

1/6 and 8/9

OpenStudy (lowkey.s):

Right?

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

perfect :)

OpenStudy (lowkey.s):

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):
