Evaluate the function f(x) = 3x - 2, when x = -1 -9 -5 1 5 Can someone just explain to me how to solve this instead of just giving me the answer?

OpenStudy (natalief):

First, when you see ' x=-1' , you need to substitute the 'x' in f(x) to -1. The steps are as below: f(x)=3x - 2 when x= -1, f(-1)=3(-1) - 2 = -5
